Ombudsman Services During COVID-19 Pandemic

We want to share with you information about how the ombudsman program is working to provide services and support to residents during this national emergency.  Our role is to support residents within the context of the pandemic.  The ombudsman program will continue to respond to and investigate complaints brought to us by residents, resident representatives, families, and others.   

Our office has developed a flyer to be posted to assist residents, resident representatives, and family members in reaching the local long term care ombudsman.  We have requested for Nursing Home Administrators to post the flyer at the front door, share it with residents and in their communications out to resident representatives. 

The rights, safety and wellbeing of the residents is always at the forefront of our decision making.  This is an incredibly trying time, and we are asking for your assistance in keeping residents’ wellbeing as the priority.  If you have any questions, please reach out to your local ombudsman by calling 866-485-9393.  You may find direct contact information under the Contact Your Local Ombudsman tab on the homepage of this website.
